PARTS INCLUDED: This new kit has been especially designed to enhance the simulated molded plenum of the plastic factory engine shroud with stainless steel strips to create an authentic look. Your new kit comes with a protective liner, do not remove liner until installation is complete. 1. Thoroughly scrub clean the center plenum area of the factory engine cove with alcohol to remove any and all road grime and dirt. 2. You have been provided with a small piece of an abrasive pad to scrub these plenum bands to ruff up the surface. Clean the surface again with alcohol then swipe the entire area with the adhesive promoter packet provided. NOTE: This packet is an adhesive accelerator and NOT a cleaner. Do not use to clean the surface! 3. Each of the new stainless strips come to you pre shaped and are identical to each other so it will not matter which one you put where however it is absolutely imperative that each of the strips be carefully and accurately shape to sit onto the factory plenum without forcing any part of it to sit flush. This means that although each of the strips is pre shaped you will need to further shape them to sit perfectly before you remove the red liner and stick them in place. 4. Once you have nicely matched each strip simply peel the red release liner from the back of the strips and then carefully and accurately set them into place. Use a soft cloth to firmly press each of the strips to the engine cover and allow setting overnight. IMPORTANT: The bond of the attachment tape will accelerate and be complete after about 24 HRS. This is important because the factory cover expands and contracts quite considerable with the engine heat and in order for these stainless strips to hold fast the bond will need to be thoroughly complete. Remove the protective liner to finish the installation.
